Our Story
Men In Black HEROS Foundation
MiB HEROS Foundation was founded on the principle that help can be most effectively provided directly from our hands to theirs. If we can even touch just a few people, it makes a difference in their lives. Maybe they pass it on to others in need in the future.
Our Mission is to provide direct support to the victims of these disasters from communities all over the country in the forms of manpower, emergency funds, and help doing what needs to be done in the moment.
Often, when ordinary citizens hear of these disasters, they want to help but they don't know how. They know that most non-profits spend 90% of donations they receive on staffing, CEO compensation and other expenses. Not us. We use 100% of the proceeds to help those in need. We have been doing it for years out of our own pocket. Imagine what we can do together as a whole community!
After working security for over 30 hurricanes, our founder Troy Burleson decided that more help was needed, and it would be best served through charity than for-profit contracts.
Since 2005, MiB has had a presence at every single hurricane that hit the US. We bring military and law enforcement officers to the disaster zone to provide security and stability to the area. We began as a for-profit corporation that provides these services to medical facilities in disaster zones.
We provide 24/7 security to the medical centers, we assist in handing out provisions, we provide protection of critical assets like fuel and water trucks, and we establish order to the area. We disburse food and water to those in need, and we do it all with a prayer in our minds and love in our hearts.
Often, these residents have lost everything. It ruins people, both emotionally and financially. They have nothing left and they feel like nobody cares.
We do.

Strength through adversity
Disaster relief organization focusing on hurricane and tornado-ravaged areas. We are some of the first ones arriving on the scene. We provide a stabilizing force to the area.We work 12 hours shifts at the dialysis centers, then spend our free time giving our time and efforts to the victims. People need doors put back on the hinges, assistance in finding their mission loved ones, prayer circles, doing what needs to be done. We rely on our faith and God's support in our work.
